Signals We’re Seeing in the Brand World Right Now

Every season, we notice subtle shifts. Not trends in the classic sense, but signals, things that show us where design and brand culture are headed.
Here’s what we’re seeing right now:
Muted confidence
Brands are leaning into quiet authority. Less shouting, more softness. Refined palettes, stripped-back typography and fewer gimmicks. Think of brands like The Row, Toteme, Aesop, or COS. They don’t rely on bright colors or bold slogans. They’re composed. They know who they are. And that confidence reads without needing to announce itself.

Text-first storytelling
We’re seeing more brands using words as a key visual element. Strong copy paired with clean layouts is taking up space again. A winner is Reformation, always creating conversation with controversial topics.

Spiritual minimalism
Not just “clean design,” but visuals that feel warm, thoughtful and ritualistic. Think grounding tones, generous spacing and slow, intentional content.

Sensible luxury
There’s a shift toward elevated basics and timeless aesthetics. It’s less about "newness" and more about lasting design decisions.

These signals aren’t rules. But they’re shaping what resonates, and how brands are choosing to show up.
We’ll keep sharing what we see as the landscape shifts.
Best,
RB
